Lisboa Soa
Lisboa Soa is a festival of sound art, ecology and auditory culture that seeks to explore the intersection between sound and environment. Since its creation in 2016, the festival has stood out for bringing to Lisbon’s public spaces a programme that includes sound installations and sculptures, concerts, performances and workshops dedicated to auditory and environmental education. Its goal is to stimulate conscious listening as a tool for better understanding the natural and social environment, promoting greater ecological sensitivity through artistic creation.
The central theme of this edition is ‘Energy in Flow,’ a proposal that aims to provoke a reflection on how energy permeates and connects the elements of the city, nature, and people. The festival’s proposal is not limited to the concept of energy in its physical and natural sense — such as wind, water and sound — but also expands to its symbolic and social dimensions. Through a sound art program curated by Raquel Castro, the event seeks to create an environment for reflection, dialogue and listening.
