World of Tomorrow

The Queens Tape Music Festival / World of Tomorrow is taking place at an arts and community event space in Astoria, Queens, NY. We will be presenting 9 X 45 minute concerts of fixed media pieces in stereo and quadraphonic sound. There will also be an Introduction to Soundscape Workshop, designed for those who have no prior knowledge or experience of the genre and are interested in a brief introduction. The event is all ages, free and open to the public. We are very thrilled to bring this exciting program to our neighborhood in Astoria.

WORKSHOP: INTRODUCTION TO SOUNDSCAPE 2PM

 

A complete beginner’s introduction to fixed media and Soundscape Composition, appropriate for anyone with no prior knowledge or experience with fixed media and/or soundscape music. Non-composers and non-musicians are welcome and encouraged to attend! The workshop will run approximately one hour, with time afterwards for questions and discussion.
